Northwestern REC holds nominating meetings in the early spring time. In 2016, the following Cooperative member was elected to Northwestern REC’s Board of Directors. His term will last three years.
Robert Agnew, District 4
A lifetime resident of Crawford County, Bob graduated from Linesville High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.
Robert has served as a Board member since 1989, and became a Certified Cooperative Director in 1994 and a Credentialed Cooperative Director in 2006 with the National Rural Electric Association.
Bob worked in the insurance and finance planning business from 1971 to 2000. He is actively involved with the Meadville Kiwanis Club and serves on the board of directors for the Conneaut Lake Joint Municipal Sewer Authority. He is a member of the Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church.
Bob resides in a 170-year old remodeled farmhouse near Harmonsburg with his wife, Jean. The couple have been cooperative members since 1971 and have two adult children.
